N’ice Cream – Package Review

 

Here is a collection and analisys (my own) of a research on ice cream packaging. I’m grouping the packaging depending on it’s style for us to see a big picture of where can we designers get doing ice cream packaging projects.

So, here are the groups i’ve made analysing the images:

Tradicional Ice Cream

No big deal on the layout, well finished, good photos, in general the ice cream we see around.

 
      

Unusual Ice Cream

Some stylish packaging with some themes and creativity added. Significancy games and references from other areas have a nice result in these ones…
   

Funny Ice Cream

Lots of colors, handmade typography, funny elements and gimmiks. (cows seem to be trendy in here)

   

Luxury Ice Cream

It looks a lot like jewerly, feels like your not fining it easily. Golden snd black are specialy noticed, so as clean and organized layouts and no ice cream photos.

Premium Tradicional Ice Cream

For me, these ones are the coolest, rich, full of ‘apetit appeal’, clean, great product and flavor photos. In my opinion, the most objective selling trhough packaging.

Modern Clean Ice Cream

These last ones are a great inspiration, very modern with some nice illustrations. White, clean and trendy. Here are some student projects too (non commercial).
